The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema is a department of the Faculty of Art and Design and It is a department which provides 4 years’ education and the language of education is Turkish.
In the formation of the academic staff of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, two main structures were emphasized:
- Türkiye’s deep-rooted graduated from college, undergraduate, graduate and completed his doctorate in the field of cinema, equipped and experienced full-time faculty members,
- Well known Instructors working as directors, screenwriters, producers, actors, cinematographers, art directors, editors in the cinema, TV series, advertising and television sectors
The course program of Cinema-TV Department consists of compulsory and elective courses. In compulsory courses, our students are provided with the necessary theoretical knowledge about art and cinema history as well as basic application areas such as directing, screenwriting, production, cinematography and editing. In the elective courses, the students are directed to specialization courses according to the fields in which the student will concentrate after graduation. In this way, all our graduates have mastered the basic knowledge of Cinema-TV, and also specialize in a specific field of their choice. After 3 years of basic education, they carry out their graduation projects in their last years, i.e. 4th grade, and take their first professional steps in the sector as director, screenwriter, cinematographer, producer, art director, editing operator, TV programmer and film critic. In this process, from the first year a lecturer from the department is appointed as Academic Consultant to every student and throughout the 4-year education Academic Consultant becomes the supervisor of the student's educational process. In addition to that, students who wish to pursue an academic career and wish to pursue their undergraduate studies with master's and doctorate degrees are provided and directed. The Department of Cinema-TV is a department that holds universal principles in the first place in its education and attaches great importance to international collaborations.

In this context, in this context, through international platforms like CILECT (Our University, the World Association of Film School is the only university in Türkiye accepted), SEECS (Association of Southeast European Film Schools), our students are in constant contact with schools and students from other countries. In addition, it opens the way for cinema students to come together and produce mutual projects through activities like SEECS International Short Film Festival, Cine-Kültür Short Film Competition.
