Mission of the Department
The most important mission of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema is to train artists who can use their creativity potential and produce universal works with reference to the universality of art and creativity of the artist.
In line with this mission and as one of the most important conditions of creativity is “originality” the main objective of the Department is to shape the original perceptions and interests of the students with a meticulous educational process.
Students who complete their expertise in areas such as Directing for Cinema TV, Cinematography, Scriptwriting, Radio, Television and Cinema Theory, Film Criticism, Technical Staff (Studio Conductor - Editing Operator), Program Officer, Program Director are intended to be raised as Radio, Television and Cinema artists who have the quality to meet the need of our era.
Vision of the Department
Today, Radio, Television and Cinema technologies are changing at a great pace. The aesthetics of Radio, Television and Cinema are being reshaped in parallel with this change. The vision of the Department is to train artists who can understand and lead this potential change correctly.
In the Department, where the cooperation of theory and application form the basis of our education concept, highly qualified faculty members and professionals comprise the academic staff.
Students are encouraged to take part in national and international projects, thus ensuring that they become universally qualified artists.
In this direction, the main indicators of our vision are outlined below:
- Coexistence of instructors from backgrounds of theory and practice for academic productivity,
- Supporting student and faculty member exchange programs at national and international levels,
- Following the technological innovations in the field and allowing students to experience these innovations,
- Encouraging students to participate in national and international projects throughout their education process so that their education can be universal.
