The book titled “Chronology of Turkish Horror Cinema Volume 7 (2024)” by Assist. Prof. Gizem Şimşek Kaya, one of our academicians from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, has been published.

Turkish Horror Cinema Continues at Full Speed

The “Chronology of Turkish Horror Cinema,” the only printed source that traces the history of Turkish horror cinema—where 47 films were released in 2023 and 50 more in 2024, following 62 in 2022—is now available to readers and moviegoers with its 7th volume, containing the films of 2024. Moreover, this volume also includes the 300th local horror movie released in theaters.

It is possible to find information on 20 local thrillers released in 2024 in the “Chronology of Turkish Horror Cinema Volume 7” published by İzan Publishing, which includes 32 analysis tables, which includes 32 analysis tables-hallmarks of the chronologies prepared by academician and writer Gizem Şimşek Kaya-in which all local horror films are analyzed in detail, along with films with postponed or upcoming release dates.
