7TH SİNEKÜLTÜR INTERUNIVERSITY SHORT FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

The finalists and event program for the 7th SineKültür Interuniversity Short Film Festival, organized this year by the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, have been announced. Following the preliminary jury evaluation, a total of 12 films—across documentary and fiction categories—have been selected as finalists. The festival will take place between May 6–8, 2026 at the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy Campus.

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema delivered a presentation on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Ataköy Building of the Bakırköy Campus, as part of a university promotional event organized for 12th-grade students studying at Kültür College and Kültür2000.

GRADUATION PROJECTS OF SENIOR STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF RADIO, TELEVISION AND CINEMA HAVE BEEN EVALUATED

Senior students of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema successfully presented their work prepared within the scope of the "Graduation Project I" and "Graduation Project II" courses on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. The presentations, which revealed the knowledge and skills acquired by the students throughout their education process, were also the first concrete steps they took in their professional careers.

“BEST EXPERIMENTAL FILM” AWARD FOR OUR STUDENT ATAHAN YAMAN AT THE GOLDEN BOLL FILM FESTIVAL!

Atahan Yaman, a student of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, achieved great success with his short film “Mars” which he both wrote and directed.

At the award ceremony held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, as part of the 32nd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival, the film received the “Best Experimental Film Award” in the Experimental Category of the National Student Films Competition.

Ahmetcan Taşal and Rojda Üzüm, students of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, also took part in the production.

FESTIVAL PROGRAM OF 6TH SİNEKÜLTÜR INTERUNIVERSITY SHORT FILM IS ANNOUNCED

The finalist films and event program of the “SineKültür Interuniversity Short Film Festival," organized for the sixth time this year by the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, have been announced. The festival, in which a total of 13 films in the documentary and fiction film categories competed in the finals after the pre-jury evaluation, will be held between May 14-16, 2025, at the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building.

“CINEMATIC VIDEO PRODUCTION WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE” WORKSHOP

The Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema organized the “Cinematic Video Production with Artificial Intelligence” workshop with the participation of artist and academician Lecturer Murat Fırat. In the workshop held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in the 1st floor multi-purpose hall at the Ataköy building, Bakırköy Campus, the creative uses of artificial intelligence in the field of art and cinema were discussed.

ASSOC. PROF. PERİHAN TAŞ ÖZ CHAIRED THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE OF THE 61ST INTERNATIONAL ANTALYA GOLDEN ORANGE FILM FESTIVAL “CINEMA WORKSHOP”

The Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, Assoc. Prof. Perihan Taş Öz, announced the final declaration with actor Mehmet Aslantuğ at the closing meeting of the “Cinema Workshop,” held between October 9-12, as part of the International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.

RES. ASSIST. BUĞRA MERT ALKAYALAR'S SHORT FILM RECEIVED THE SECOND PRIZE FROM TRT!

The short film “Station People,” directed and scripted by Res. Assist. Buğra Mert Alkayalar, a faculty member of the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, won the second prize in the “Short Film” category of the TRT Future Communicators Competition, which is in its 10th year this year. The award ceremony of the competition, in which 180 people made it to the finals in 12 different categories, was held live on the TRT 2 channel at 20:00 on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
