SCENARIST YEŞİM ÇITAK MET WITH THE STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF RADIO, TELEVISION AND CINEMA

Scenarist Yeşim Çıtak, who has written the scripts of popular television series such as Erkenci kuş(2018), Menajerimi Ara (2020), Sen Çal Kapımı (2020), will be attending the "Scenario Writing in Film and TV Series" organization within the scope of "Film Language II" and "Film Language IV" courses. She met with our students from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at the workshop. The workshop was held on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building, moderated by lecturer Özgür Balcı.

CINEMATOGRAPHER MERT ÖZERCAN MET WITH STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF RADIO, TELEVISION AND CINEMA

Mert Özercan, the cinematographer of the movie "Almost Entirely A Slight Disaster" (2023), which has received various awards from national and international film festivals and is available on the MUBI platform, attended the "Image Management" workshop held as a part of "Film Language II" and "Film Language IV" courses, and met with the students of the Department of Radio, Department of Television and Cinema.

SCREENWRITER & PRODUCER SELİM ERKUL CAME TOGETHER WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF RADIO, TELEVISION AND CINEMA STUDENTS

Screenwriter & Producer Selim Erkul, who took part in the script development and production teams of popular digital platform series such as Knot (2024), Innocent (2017), Owned (2017) and Immortals (2018), met with our Department of Radio, Television and Cinema students in the "Scenario-Production Process Relationship" workshop organized within the scope of the "Script Writing Techniques II" course. The workshop was held in the Ataköy building of Bakırköy campus on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, under the moderation of Our Head of Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Assoc.

RES. ASSIST. BUĞRA MERT ALKAYALAR WON THE "BEST YOUNG DIRECTOR AWARD" WITH HIS SHORT FILM

Directed and written by Res. Assist. Buğra Mert Alkayalar, one of the faculty members of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, was deemed worthy of the "Best Young Director Award" at the Short to the Point Film Festival held in Romania with his short film "Station People" supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Republic of Türkiye.

RES. ASSIST. BUĞRA MERT ALKAYALAR'S STORY TITLED "YENİ HAYAT” WAS INCLUDED IN THE FIRST TURKISH SCIENCE FICTION STORY ANTHOLOGY PUBLISHED IN ENGLISH

The story "Yeni Hayat", which was included in the book "Birtakım Rivayetler" by Res. Assist. Buğra Mert Alkayalar, a faculty member of IKU Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, was included in the story anthology "Anthology of Turkish Science Fiction Stories" published by Transnational Press London Publishing in the UK under the title "A New Life."

DEPARTMENT OF RADIO, TELEVISION AND CINEMA GRADUATES MET WITH STUDENTS AT THE "ALUMNI PANEL" EVENT

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema organized the "Alumni Panel" event to build a bridge between graduates of different semesters and students studying in the department. The event, which was held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in the 4th floor multi-purpose hall of the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building, was moderated by the Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Assoc. Prof. Perihan Taş Öz and academician Assist. Prof. Ayşe Duygu Atasoy Aktaş.

PANEL TALK WITH THE TEAM OF THE EMMY AWARD-WINNING "UKRAINE WAR DIARIES" DOCUMENTARY PROGRAM

A panel talk on the "Ukraine War Diaries" episode of the award-winning documentary series "Off the Grid" produced by TRT World, which was shot in Ukraine and won the 44th International Emmy Award, with the documentary series crew namely the director Mouhssine Ennaimi, Writer / Producer Alexandra Pauliat and TRT World Channel Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Bora Bayraktar participating in the event as the speakers, was organized with the joint efforts of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema and the Department of International Relations.
