Res. Assist. Buğra Mert ALKAYALAR from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at our university, got second place in the Happy Short Film Days Life in Pandemic Short Film Competition with his short film "Individual Reality", which he shot during the pandemic. We congratulate him and wish him prolonged success.

IKU Department of Radio, Television and Cinema was selected as a guest school to the 8th International Balkan Panorama Film Festival, which was held with cooperation of Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, had Istvan Szabo on advisory board, and included world-famous directors and screenwriters such as Milcho Manchevski.

The award ceremony of the 3rd SineKültür Intercollegiate Short Film Competition, organized by the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of the Faculty of Art and Design, was held on May 12, 2022, at the Sinematek Cinema House. The films chosen as the winners were watched by the jury members and the finalists at the ceremony where the awards in the "Documentary" and "Fictional Film" categories were given to honourees.
